NEWS NOVEMBRE 2016 – JANUARY 2017

Paseo de los Monos continues to offer the best possible conditions to the animals in captivity. Several zoos in the area have quarantaines, but lack appropriate structures to take care of sick animals in the long term. Paseo de los Monos was handed over the following animals:

BOB MARLEY DE LOS MONOS, a male, same species as Micha (Leopardus wiedii)

MICHAEL JAKSON DE LOS MONOS, a male baby woolly monkey (Lagothrix poepigii) left us after 4 months only, a heart malformation caused his death.

JACKIE BROWN DE LOS MONOS, a few months old baby woolly monkey (Lagothrix poepigii) found on the streets of Puyo.

BELLA DE LOS MONOS, a female white capuchin (Cebus albifrons) born in the sanctuary but rejected by her mother on the day she was born. She is looked after by volunteers.

BOAS OF LOS MONOS, and as always, the innumerable boas that we recover in the private properties

In order to improve the life of the animals we enrich their enclosures with various toys built by our kind-hearted volunteers.
