WHITE CAPUCHINS (Cebus albifrons)
Paseo de los Monos shelters many white capuchin monkeys which are living in different family groups. This species is known for its intelligence since they use tools and they are also known for their aggressiveness. In Ecuador, these monkeys are trafficked as pets.
The white capuchins form social groups based in hierarchies and they are breed easily. Groups of white capuchins can form associations with the squirrel monkeys for searching food and avoid predation.
